Our work together will be

  • Personalized

There is no formula for our work together because there is no formula for you.

My approach to coaching is deeply individualized. You may come in wanting to explore a relationship, a transition, your work, a creative block, a recurring pattern, or simply the feeling that something in your life is asking to change. We begin with what is alive for you and work from there.

At the same time, there is a consistent foundation beneath the way I work with every client. I approach our sessions mindfully, paying attention not only to what you are saying, but how you are experiencing it.

I am listening to your words, but I am also noticing the body, energy, emotion, pauses, shifts, and ways different material enters the room. Together, we can become curious about all of it.

The goal isn't to analyze every movement or sensation. It's to make room for more information. Sometimes the body knows something before we have words for it.

  • Holistic

Our sessions are conversational, but they don't have to stay entirely in conversation.

Depending on what you need in a given moment, I may invite you to slow down and notice a sensation, follow an image, sit with an emotion, explore a relationship differently, move, breathe, visualize, or simply stay with something for a little longer than you normally would.

You are always in choice. An invitation is exactly that: an invitation.

I draw from Psychosynthesis, a holistic psychological framework that considers the many different parts of ourselves while also making space for meaning, purpose, creativity, and our capacity for growth.

I also incorporate principles from Intentional Communication, a mindfulness-based approach influenced by Buddhist philosophy. This informs the presence, curiosity, and nonjudgment I try to bring into every session, as well as guided meditations and experiential practices that can help you encounter yourself in a different way.

Rather than asking only, “Why am I like this?” we might also become curious about:

What happens inside me when I talk about this?

    Where do I feel this?

What does this part of me need?

What becomes possible when I stay with this experience instead of immediately moving away from it?

  • Somatic

You don't need to be particularly “in touch with your body” to do this work.

Somatic awareness simply means recognizing that our experiences don't happen exclusively in our thoughts. They can show up as tightness in the chest, a held breath, heaviness, warmth, restlessness, an impulse to move, or a sudden sense of expansion.

I consistently hold your somatic experience in awareness while we work. At times, I may reflect something I'm noticing or invite you to notice what is happening internally.

Over time, this can offer another pathway toward understanding yourself, one that isn't dependent on thinking your way to an answer. I am trained in Somatic Experiencing and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and integrate these modalities and others during sessions.
